Wendy is a dedicated and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (NP), board- certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has over 20 years of experience in the nursing profession and has practiced as an NP for six years. She attained her education from George Mason University Fairfax, VA graduating with honors with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP, FNP-BC). She has a vast experience in Internal Medicine and retail health. She brings a wide variety of experience from critical care, urgent care, geriatric care, home health, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. The depth of her knowledge and experience comes from working in a variety of settings including ICU, Telemetry, PCU, Ventilator Unit, Medical/Surgical, Oncology, internal medicine, Home Health and retail care. Her strengths as an NP are providing high quality diagnostic assessments, on common and complex health problems with a focus on health promotion, disease prevention and general wellness throughout the aging process. She believes in listening and maintaining a long lasting relationship with her patients and making sure their needs are met.
On her spare time Wendy loves spending quality time with her husband, her two children (18 &16), and her extended family. She also loves to cook, entertain and travel the world. Her affiliations includes: Virginia Association of DNPs, Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Diabetes Educators, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau International.
